COVID-19

Client changes

Effective June 1, 2020 I am able to see clients once again due to COVID-19 restrictions in place since March 2020. new and existing clients alike will need to read and sign my notice of updated policies and procedures before their first/return visit. as new information becomes available, I will update this document on my site. significant alterations to my procedures will result in clients needing to re-sign the document as pertinent. It is my goal to be open and transparent with every client about the virus and our risks to the disease.

Clients are currently required to

  1. Assess your personal risk to potentially contracting COVID-19 and whether you have been in contact with any persons who might potentially have symptoms of a viral illness of any type.

  2. Wear a mask while in my office based on the nature of my work.

    • If you do not have a face covering, I have purchased surgical masks that you may reimburse me for at the cost of $1 each.

  3. Fill out the COVID Notice Document Below.

New and emerging information is delving into whether this virus creates vascular (blood vessel) damage and may lead to clots/strokes/heart attack in otherwise healthy individuals. An underlying risk of a person with a clot who receives bodywork is mobilization of the clot or damage to the tissues. Please read the link below to consider whether you might have known risk factors to a worse outcome from COVID-19.

My changes

I have built a window of time between sessions for cleaning and to allow clients to not cross paths in the entryway.
Please try to arrive just on time for your visit and not much earlier as I will be disinfecting all surfaces between visits
using EPA registered cleaners.

  1. I will be wearing a face mask.

  2. I will wear clean attire for each client.

  3. All pillows and the table have a vinyl liner that I wipe between sessions with disinfectant. Hand sanitizer is available for
    use.

  4. My room now has a HEPA filtration unit with a UV-C light.

  5. I have installed a screen on my patio door and will open it between sessions to allow for ventilation of the space.

  6. MERV 13 fabric was installed inside of the vents on my ceiling from our HVAC system to reduce the amount of particulate matter coming into the room from other units in my building.

  7. Payment of cash, check or credit card is still accepted. I now have a contact-less and chip credit card reader. This will
ensure that I am not handling your card unless it only has a magnetic stripe.

  8. All laundry is now stored and transported in air-tight plastic bins.

  9. I have always laundered every linen that touches a client between sessions in hot water and with Seventh Generation
unscented detergent and dried on hot and disinfected the basket before returning with clean laundry. This will continue
unchanged due to clients with sensitivities to other fabric products.
